From Andrew Halliday, managing director of Safeguard Coaches
Thanks for great coverage of our event – hopefully you’ve had lots of hits on The Guildford Dragon NEWS.
We had a great day with well over 1,000 in attendance through the course of the day. We raised a whopping £5,475, which will be divided equally between Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Guildford and Godalming branch of the British Heart Foundation.
Shirley West at BHF is delighted and we plan to do a formal presentation just before or just after Easter – no doubt you might wish to record the event.
Thanks for your support which is much appreciated.
[David Rose adds: It was a fantastic day and I am so pleased you raised such a good amount. As you know, I was there taking photos for the Guildford Dragon and also helped out (a little) on the Park Barn & Westborough Community Association’s stand that ran your tombola.]

The Guildford and Godalming Branch of the British Heart Foundation is over the moon with the wonderful donation of £2,737.50.
Once again, a big thank you to Andrew and to your lovely staff and all the donations from the other stalls that gave to the two charities on the day.
Shirley West, chairman Guildford and Godalming Branch of the British Heart Foundation.

Hi
Lovely to see the pictures with preserved Safeguard and LT buses and I know there are a number of preserved A&D vehicles as well.
Does anyone know if there are any preserved buses from the other local operators?
ie.
Yellow Buses
Tilingbourne Valley
Brown Buses
and Cookes Coaches
