What a brilliant article!

I am Andrea (now Ingham), Maurice’s daughter, and everything is exactly as my mother told me. Sadly I never knew him, being too small. All the names of his friends and colleagues featured a lot in conversations I heard as I was growing up.

The two pictures – in the Spitfire, and of my parents, hang on the bedroom wall. My children are proud owners of copies. My grandson sent me this article – he is very proud of his great-grandfather.

Thank you, Andrea, for taking the time to write in. I am glad you found Frank Phillipson’s article interesting. It demonstrates one advantage of online publication, the articles remain available to be read long after they are published. Ed
