Woman Seriously Injured After Car Collides With Tree in Pirbright

An eighty-year-old woman was seriously injured when her car collided with a tree in Pirbright earlier yesterday evening (July 18, 2018).

The collision, involving a blue Kia Cee’d, took place in Aldershot Road near the Royal Oak pub around 8.20pm.

The elderly driver was taken to St George’s Hospital after being cut free from her car by fire crews.

No other vehicles were involved.

The road was closed in both directions while emergency services deal with the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “If you witnessed the collision, or saw the car being driven prior to the collision, or you have any dash cam footage of the incident, please call us on 101, quoting incident reference PR/P18171354.”
