A 15-year-old from Guildford is facing the school summer holidays behind bars after being charged with possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply and the possession of a prohibited weapon.
The youth appeared at South West Surrey Youth Court on 9 July 2012 when he was remanded into custody until September.
Detective Inspector Andy Haslam said: “This custodial sentence reflects the prolific nature of this youth’s offending. There have been numerous attempts made by Surrey Police and its partner agencies to help this juvenile to move away from a pattern of offending and to disrupt the supply of drugs in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately this youth has chosen not to engage and faces imprisonment.
“It should serve as a reminder to others that such offending could lead to prison and Surrey Police will relentlessly pursue those who engage in destructive behaviour of themselves and our communities.”
