Sunday August 12

On a sunny afternoon the Castle Green Bowling Club narrowly lost a friendly home match against Aldershot Underwood Bowling Club by 56 to 45.

Castle Green won on one rink by one point but lost on the other two. The Castle Green team comprised: Dorothy and David Newman, Pauline May, Lynn and Peter Smith, Colin and Diana Summerhayes, Nick and Julie Hinde, Tim Sampson, Hilary Vogel and Dennis Hirst-Marsden.

Monday August 13

On a damp evening, Castle Green Bowling Club held the semi-final of the in-house Pairs competition, John Reeves and Jill Bird were victorious against Val Sherwin and Lynn Smith, and Peter Smith and Terry Croissant won their match against Rob Helliwell and Shirley West.
