Guildford based act Pixie and Indie made it through to the next round of the latest TV talent show ‘The Voice’ this evening (14 Apr). Based in Guildford, the two teenagers attend the Academy of Contemporary Music in Rodboro Buildings, Bridge Street.
All four judges on the show, who hear the singers without seeing them so that they are judged solely on ‘The Voice’, turned round to signal their desire to include the girls into their ‘team’ to progress further in the competition.
The girls, rejecting Tom Jones, Will.i.am and Danny O’Donoghue, selected successful singer Jessie J to be their coach.
The girls have performed locally and, having met at the ACM, become friends who now write songs together too. They have 5 videos posted on YouTube under the name ‘Pretty Ugly Sound’ including the one below which, while showing them in rehearsal mode, clearly displays their talent and potential.
