Anne Milton MP welcomes recent work to revamp her local post office in Collingwood Crescent, Boxgrove. It is all part of  the plans to revitalise the Post Office network under the Post Office’s three year investment and support programme.

Guildford’s MP is one of the first customers to use the new counter as she has a package weighed for posting

The changes to the post office at the Boxgrove branch form part of the preparatory phase of the plans before starting full rollout of the programme later in the year. The new style Post Office counter opened yesterday (24 Aug).

Apart from the physical design of the counter, the main change that customers will notice is that the Sub Post Office will remain open whilst the shop it is within, One Stop, is open – that is from 7am to 10pm most days.

Ms Milton said: “Post Offices are a critical part of our local communities.  Boxgrove Post Office is a hub of activity and a much needed facility for local people whether old, young or running a small business from here.  This is good news for Boxgrove!”
