Man’s Neck Cut During Robbery in Wooden Bridge Pub Car Park

Detectives in Guildford are appealing for information following a robbery outside the Wooden Bridge pub last Friday (August 31) in which a 22-year-old victim sustained a cut to the neck after a knife was used to threaten him.

The Wooden bridge pub – the robbery took place in the car park.

The incident happened sometime between 8.40pm and 8.50pm when two men approached a group of men who were getting out of a car in the pub’s car park.  The victim, who had been driving the vehicle, was with three passengers when he was grabbed around the throat by one suspect while the second went through his pockets and stole a mobile phone and a wallet.

The second offender then turned to another in the group, an 18-year-old man and grabbed him, demanding he handed over his wallet. The teenager managed to break free and ran off.

The suspects made off in a get away vehicle which was parked in the same car park. A third man was driving the car which was then driven at speed in the direction of Guildford.

The suspects are described as two black men, aged between 18 and 20 years old. The first is described as 6ft 2in with shaved hair and was wearing a black jacket and dark jeans. The second suspect is described as 6ft and was wearing a grey hooded top and dark trousers.
