Surrey -based photographer Matt Pereira has yet again picked up a handful of awards for his stunning pictures.
For the third year running his entries at the MPA Awards for the South Eastern Region have impressed the judges, bringing the total over that time to 23 awards.
The awards have come within a variety of categories, and this year Matt also entered the sports category as well as landscape and travel.
His won the sports, social and equestran events section with an image taken during a promotional shoot for his friend, and a groom he photographed last year, Les, who runs a GB Tang Soo Do school (see above).
Matt scooped the landscape and travel section with a shot he saw, and grabbed, during a wedding last year in Italy. He said: “This old gentleman was sat alone on a bench across the other side of the piazza from where we were eating dinner.”
He was pipped to the post coming runner up in the classical portraiture section. Matt said: “I lost by just one single point! This shot of Bobby Chocolate was taken as part of a set for the outstandingly amazing Unsung Lily, a new, up and coming band hailing from Guildford.
In the contemporary picture section Matt came third. He said: “This shot of Riccardo and Lorenzo, taken during a recent promo shoot for Coconut Hair Salon, is one of my very favourites and makes me laugh every time I look at it. Apparently, it made the judges laugh too which is why it was awarded a very healthy third place!”
Matt came a respectable third in the press and PR category. He said: “This is another shot from the Unsung Lilly promo shoot, this time of the entire band. To me, this just captures them perfectly.”
