Three Teenage Girls Arrested Over Assault In Recreation Ground

Three teenage girls have been arrested in connection with an assault on a younger girl in Stoughton Recreation Ground on Saturday (January 9).

An 18-year-old from Godalming and a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old from Midhurst in West Sussex were arrested on Tuesday, January 12, on suspicion of assault. They were all interviewed and have been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, to return on March 4.

The 14-year-old victim was left with a head injury, a suspected broken nose, broken ribs and two black eyes as a result of the attack, which took place at about 7pm.

She was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford where she received treatment for her injuries.
