Woman Motorcyclist Dies in Crash

A female motorcyclist has died following a collision on the A323 near Fairlands, Guildford, on Wednesday morning, July 11.

The junction of the A323 Aldershot Road and Gravetts Lane.

The incident took place in Aldershot Road near the junction with Gravetts Lane at around 8.25am and involved a blue Mercedes A class people carrier and a red Triumph motorcycle.

The rider, who is a local woman in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the incident.

The female driver of the other vehicle was taken by road to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford with minor injuries. The air ambulance attended the incident.

The road was closed in both directions at the Fairlands roundabout and at Gravetts Lane.
