Accountancy firm PKF will once again run its popular work experience sessions in Guildford this summer.
The PKF Experience is a five-day programme that aims to give people a true taste of what an accountancy career can offer through interactive sessions and business games. The programme also covers aspects such as presentation skills, teamwork, CV writing and interview techniques.
This year’s programme will run from Monday to Friday, July 16 to 20, at PKF’s town centre offices in Park Street, Guildford.
The PKF Experience is open to anyone of any age interested in a career in accountancy. Places are limited and very popular. For further information including how to apply visit: http://www.pkfstudentrecruitment.co.uk/work_experience.
Richard Faulkner, Guildford office managing partner, PKF, said: “The PKF Experience has been running successfully across the country since 2009 and I am delighted that the Guildford office will be hosting a week-long session this July.
“Our aim is to offer local people a genuine opportunity to learn about a career in accountancy and step away from the stereotypical impression of work experience involving nothing more challenging than making coffee and photocopying. We use a mix of office-based and classroom activities to provide participants with hands on experience of work in different areas of the profession.
“Feedback to date has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants telling us the programme helped them form a considered view about whether they should pursue a career in accountancy.”
The PKF Experience was shortlisted at last year’s British Accountancy Awards as one of the most successful community-focused projects in the accountancy profession.
