Apology – Photo Published In Error

Statement by editor Martin Giles

When taking photographs for an article published by The Guildford Dragon NEWS in August about Mane Chance Sanctuary at Compton, a refuge for mistreated horses, our reporter mistakenly took one photo of a horse in an adjoining field that did not belong to the sanctuary.

When published, the photo erroneously bore a caption indicating that the horse belonged to Mane Chance Sanctuary.

The owner of the horse, Suzanne Hill, has requested that we apologise for this unintentional error and we hereby do so.

The photograph was removed from the article as soon as its owner’s objection was reported to us.
