Appeal For Witnesses After Casino Assault Leaves Man With Fractured Skull

A man is in hospital with a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain after he was assaulted in a Guildford nightclub about 1.30am on Sunday (June 23, 2019).

The man was out with friends at the Casino on Onslow Street when he was punched, leaving him unconscious. The victim was in hospital for several days before reporting the attack.

Detective Constable Pete Coe said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or may be able to assist in identifying the people involved.

“The attack was in the middle of a busy night club, so somebody must have seen what happened. The victim has been left with serious injuries, so we are asking for any information that might help bring offenders to justice and prevent further incidents.”

And police are also appealing for witnesses after an accident on Hartshill in Park Barn, Guildford on Monday (July 1), that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

At about 8.20pm officers were called to the scene, near the junction with Roman Farm Road.

The pedestrian, a 60-year-old local man, was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital with serious head, arm and leg injuries. The driver of the green Peugeot car was not injured.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
