A woman who has frequently intimated members of the public in Guildford by screaming and shouting at them outside a community centre in Haydon Place and Skunkworks, a controversial shop which sells “legal high” products, has had an ASBO (antisocial behaviour order) issued against her.
The order was obtained against Cassie Marie Vimpany of no fixed abode at a hearing on August 1 at South West Surrey Magistrates’ Court. She was handed a two-year order after magistrates heard evidence of the impact her extreme behaviour had on local people.
A police statement said: “Police in Guildford have been successful in obtaining a post conviction antisocial behaviour order (ASBO) against a 26-year-old woman whose persistent nuisance behaviour has caused harassment, alarm and distress to the lives of residents and visitors in Guildford town centre.”
Under the conditions of the ASBO Vimpany is prohibited from:
Neighbourhood Sergeant Helen Budd said: “Cassie has frequently intimidated members of the public by her antisocial behaviour, shouting and screaming and causing a disturbance, particularly outside the community centre and Skunkworks in Haydon Place, which has had a significant effect on the town. This successful application will help protect residents and visitors from any further such incidents.
“Surrey Police is committed to tackling all forms of antisocial and criminal behaviour and we will continue to work with our partner organisations to help keep our neighbourhoods safe.”
The post conviction ASBO remains in place for two years. The police has asked anyone who sees Cassie Vimpany breaking any of her conditions to contact them immediately on 101, as she can be arrested on sight. All information will be treated confidentially.

Never met this lady but perhaps she requires some sort of medical help. It is all too easy to simply prosecute, without providing support.
Perhaps care, compassion and time from someone with a friendly ear to understand the root issues could better solve her problems in the long term?
