As an exciting new service to its supporters, Guildford Arts (GA) members will have now received the charity’s 2020 pictorial wall calendar.
As well as showing-off artist members’ work, the calendar holds the dates of Guildford Arts’ 2020 events and helps the charity meet its purpose of promoting local arts and culture.
And the loyalty of the members is vital for GA to be able to continue supporting arts locally.
GA brings together members from all sides of the arts.
The providers, including theatres, art galleries, artists, sculptors, musicians and choirs, and art lovers, those who want to be entertained and to engage with all things cultural.
GA is Guildford-based, but not Guildford-bound. GA reaches out to Godalming, Woking, Farnham by providing:
– Five visual arts exhibitions a year allowing artists to display and, thousands of local people and visitors, to see their work
– An arts magazine, published three times a year, containing news and opinions about local culture
– A dedicated, local events listing website, the best place to post local events and to find-out where arts events are happening in and around Guildford
– A postal advertising service for member arts providers – regular mail-outs of flyers advertising their events to art-loving members.
Most importantly, income from GA is used to make grants to support flagship local events, for instance, Guildford Book Festival, and to help fund new cultural initiatives.
Initial reaction to the calendar has been very positive and ideas about its future direction are being fielded from enthusiasts who can see how it will help GA do more for the goal of promoting the local arts for the good of everyone.
More members means more support by GA for the arts locally. Help keep the local arts scene alive and well.
If you would like to know more, join GA and enjoy the calendar.
