Road Accident Opposite Lidl Supermarket

A report has come in of a road accident on Woodbridge Road, Guildford, yesterday evening (February 20th) by the Gym Group and opposite Lidl supermarket.

Initial reports said police were treating casualties in the road and one eye-witness said: “Looks like a motorbike was involved. It was dark so difficult to work out how many were involved but there were multiple police cars. An ambulance seen by Stoke Park appeared to be heading towards the scene .

“Traffic heading west [towards the Dennis Roundabout] was at a standstill.”

This morning a police spokesperson said: “Officers responded after reports of a single-vehicle collision involving the rider of a motorbike on Woodbridge Road in Guildford at around 7.45pm yesterday.

“The rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital for assessment of their injuries. The road was closed for around an hour while the emergency services responded.”
