Two brothers being sought by police in connection with the murder of a Guildford man in his 50s have presented themselves at Woking police station tonight (Wednesday, August 14).

The males, aged 22 and 14, have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a man’s body at an address in Cedar Way, Bellfields just after 10am on Tuesday, August 13. They are currently in custody at Woking police station.

A 49-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail and is due to return to Woking police station on August 29. She has been named locally as Maria Ellis. A 16-year-old male who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.

Surrey Police reported earlier on Wednesday that “a post-mortem examination remains under way at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. The victim has not yet been formally identified”.

Further house-to-house enquiries and forensic examinations were carried out on Wednesday and a police cordon at the address remains in place.
