The pioneering  Burpham Neighbourhood Forum has announced details of its first first public meeting. It will be held on Saturday, March 9th at the Church of the Holy Spirit on New Inn Lane.

Trevor Wicks, Chairman of the Forum said “We wish to invite everyone from Burpham to come to the meeting to learn more about what the Forum and Neighbourhood Plan is all about and how they might get involved.

“There is a lot of work to do and something for everyone, young and old no matter what experience or abilities.”

Cllr Christian Holliday (Con, Burpham) said: “I’m delighted Burpham is the first area of Guildford to take forward the flagship policy of neighbourhood planning. This is a real chance for the community to shape the future of Burpham.

“I encourage everyone, including those considering neighbourhood planning elsewhere in Guildford borough, to come to the meeting on 9th March. The Forum is a powerful tool for change that should be put to good use.”
