Wood Street Village and Guildford Jazz are teaming up with the local charity Challengers, to host Wood Street Jazz Festival on Sunday July 19.
Jazz enthusiasts, families and friends will be coming together to enjoy music from the award-winning Digby Fairweather and legendary Julian-Marc Stringle, both huge names in the jazz world – you can expect top-class performances and a buzzing atmosphere.
The event is running from 1pm to 5pm and is being held on Wood Street Village Green, where there will be food, real ales and Pimms to enjoy, while the village is transformed into an exciting jazz hub for the afternoon.
This fantastic event is in aid of the local charity, Challengers, that provides vital play and leisure opportunities for disabled children and young people across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, which have become a crucial part of families’ lives in local communities.
Digby Fairweather’s career spans four decades with over 80 albums and has won numerous awards along the way, while Julian-Marc Stringle is recognised as one of Britain’s top clarinettists and has played with huge names in the music industry.
Tickets are just £10 for those aged 16 and above, £5 for 16 and under and a family tickets is available (two adults and up to three children under 16) for £25.
