Which candidate will you choose to support on July 4th?
Many of you might have already made up your minds but do you really know what the various candidates think about topical issues and concerns of the day?
To help your evaluation Dragon editor Martin Giles has interviewed each of the candidates in some depth to get their thoughts on five subjects. Similar questions were posed to each to help facilitate comparison. See what you make of their performances and policies…
The interviews were all recorded between June 7 and June 11. The sequence of publication was drawn by lot.
The following interview is with the Conservative candidate Angela Richardson…
Angela Richardsons’ summary cv, as written by her at The Dragon’s request:
I moved to the UK from New Zealand in 1999. I have lived in and around Guildford since 2002 with my husband, three children and dog Trixie.
Following a career in investment banking operations, I became a volunteer in my community and have served as Guildford’s MP since 2019.
Since being first elected, I have helped thousands of families and individuals through some of the toughest years in recent memory.
I have demonstrated complete commitment to Guildford and our villages, working hard to deliver for our community, securing improvements in healthcare, infrastructure and more, because I know Guildford deserves the best.”
