Dragon Interview: GBC Backbencher Catherine Young

Published on: 10 Dec, 2021

Cllr Catherine Young

What made Catherine Young (GGG, Clandon & Horsley) decide to put herself forward for election as a councillor in 2019? What are her major concerns about the Local Plan? What will be her party’s prospects for the 2023 borough council election?

These and other questions are put to Cllr Young by Martin Giles as part of a series of interviews with a selection of backbench borough councillors from across the political spectrum. We thought it would be a good idea to hear from some of the councillors who don’t sit on the Executive and who get less exposure.

See other Backbencher interviews here.

Catherine Young is the third councillor to participate and soon we hope to interview backbench councillors from the Conservative and Labour groups at GBC.
