“Every year we are impressed by our pupils’ ability to combine tremendous academic performance with a rich array of extra-curricular interests encompassing sport, drama, music and art. We hope all our pupils enjoy the end of their summer holiday and look forward to seeing them, and welcoming our new sxth-form students, in September.” Guildford High School is an academically selective independent school for girls aged four to 18.

Headmistress Christina Foord said: “I would like to congratulate all of our girls on their superb GCSE results. I am delighted that 60% of the year group achieved 8 or more A*/A grades. Special mention must go to English with 91% A*-A in the IGCSE and Classics (Latin and Greek) who obtained 98% A*-A. In fact twelve departments gained over 85% A*- A grades.
“Such results are the culmination of hard-work, skilled teaching, active learning and a determination to succeed. The careful support and guidance which all of our girls have received, both from their teachers and parents, have allowed them the opportunity to flourish.
