If you want some excellent training in the martial art of taekwondo, then the club run by members of Guildford’s Nepalese community is the place to go.
The club (part of the Gurkha Sunrise Sport Club) has relocated from its former venue (the Guildford Community Centre) to the hall at St Clare’s Church in Park Barn.
The club meets every Saturday from 3.30pm t0 5.30pm – all welcome to go along and join.
There will be a free induction session this Saturday, February 15.
Sunrise Gurkha Taekwondo is registered to British Taekwondo, the national Governing body for World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Taekwondo in the UK. All instructors hold a valid British Taekwondo licence and are CRB checked.
At its first meeting at St Clare’s Church Hall on Saturday, February 8, among the guests of honour was Richard McVittie, Guildford Borough Council’s sports and activity development officer.
The Sunrise club has recently been awarded a council grant of £700.
