Fourth Arrest in Connection with Man Who Suffered Serious Facial Injuries

The multi-storey car park off York Road where a man was found in the stairwell having suffered serious facial injuries in the early hours of Saturday, August 3.

A fourth person has been arrested after a man was found with serious facial injuries in a multi-storey car park stairwell in Guildford.

A 22-year-old woman from Guildford and a 33-year-old man and a 36-year-old man of no fixed address, were arrested on Sunday, August 4 in connection with the incident, which took place in the York Road car park, Guildford between 9pm on Friday, August 2 and 5am on Saturday, August 3.

A further arrest was made this morning (Thursday, August 8) of a 31-year-old man from Woking.

All four have been released on bail, pending further enquiries, to return to Guildford police station on September 6.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was found by a security guard on level 5 of the car park on York Road around 5.20am on Saturday, August 3.

He was treated by ambulance crews at the scene and was taken to hospital for treatment to a possible fractured eye socket and broken jaw.
