On Sunday, October 13, G Live will open its doors for a one off concert in aid of Guildford YMCA’s Capital Appeal.
Hosted by Guildford’s own inimitable Jonathan Veira, Showtime will be an evening of fine musical entertainment.
Over the past 18 months Guildford YMCA’s Capital Appeal has been attracting significant funds from supporters, challenge events and grant making trusts. This is in order to develop the basement level of the Bridge Street hostel.
A dedicated space for the hostel’s young residents has already been created, and the second phase has begun, to remodel the rest of the basement to create a new venue for Plantation, the YMCA’s youthwork department.
Showtime will feature the talents of the Swingle Singers, the GSA Singers, Mark Edwards and a Jazz Quartet, tenor Richard Coxon, and Rock Choir as well as Jonathan Veira himself.
It promises to be a splendid evening, and with sponsorship covering the costs of the evening, all ticket sales will go directly to the appeal.
Tickets are still on sale for £25 each from G Live. For details visit http://www.guildfordymca.org.uk/capital_appeal_showtime.htm

Why doesn’t G Live host a concert and donate the money to Port Isaac in memory of Trevor Grills, for them to use as they wish for their community?
