A tiered cake and an original chocolate creation wowed exhibitors and visitors to Guildford Means Business at G Live on Wednesday.
Jonathan Woodgate of Simply Cakes crafted the imaginative pieces. The confectionary champagne bottle cooling in its own ice-bucket was so realistic that event co-organiser, Paul Bridgland said: “I thought it was the real thing.”
It was the baker’s first time exhibiting at the show. He learned about it through his previous involvement with thebestofguildford. Jonathan said: “I’m here to create some interest in my products”.
There was a positive buzz, not just around this stall, but the show itself, and many visitors and businesses remarked on the positive and supportive atmosphere.
Most agreed that this could be attributed to the change in location from Spectrum to G Live, a bright, modern venue in the heart of Guildford town centre.
