Boris Johnson and the prime minister are not the only cycling Tories these days. As reported in The Guildford Dragon News two weeks ago Guildford’s own MP, Anne Milton, has joined the two wheeled club.

On Friday she pedalled down to G Live to speak to Peter Gordon of Eagle Radio in the last broadcast of this year’s ‘Love Tour’ on her way to the station and her journey to Westminster.

Peter said: “She joined us briefly on air. One of the themes we discussed was that Guildford has so much to offer but needs to get better at telling everyone about it. She said that things like the Eagle’s Love Tour really helps with that and that people, who have very busy lives, need to stop and take stock, sometimes, to appreciate what is available and going on in their town.

“Anyway, the tour has been really successful. We have done 149 hours of outside broadcast in just 12 days, around many of the area’s towns.”
