Guildford MP Angela Richardson has said she is “deeply concerned” about the water supply problem that has affected thousands of homes in the Guildford & Godalming area.
Until the next general election, Ms Richardson’s constituency includes affected areas within Waverley borough as well as Guildford.
She told the Dragon this afternoon: “I am deeply concerned by the developments over the weekend and I convey my sympathies to the thousands of residents affected, who are showing incredible patience.
“Last night, I visited Artington Park and Ride where affected residents collected water bottles. I’m thankful that these are being successfully received.
“Whilst the situation is improving, many remain affected. It is therefore right that residents demand more detail and transparency from Thames Water as to the cause of the incident.
“I remain in touch with Thames Water and I will update residents as soon as I receive answers to their important questions.
“I urge any affected and vulnerable Guildford resident who requires assistance to please email me at angela.richardson.mp@parliament.uk
