Guildford Parkrun Results July 27, 2013

This week’s event was something of a milestone for Guildford Parkrun as more than 2,000 different people taking part at least once since the event started last year was reached.

Men’s placings:
John BROOM (VM40-44) of Barnsley AC, was first over the line in 18 minutes 35 seconds – first appearance.
Daniel FARLEY (JM14) of Woking AC, was second over the line in 18:57.
James FLEMING (JM14) of Camberley & District AC, was third over the line in 19:02.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Daniel Peter HEFFERNAN (Unattached) 1,469 pts.
Andrew FLANAGAN (Unattached) 1,280 pts.
David WOODCOCK (Unattached) 1,272 pts.

Women’s placings:
Michelle OLDHAM (VW40-44) of Woking AC, was first (11th overall) over the line in 20:22 – third time in 11 appearances.
Stacy FAIRHEAD (SW25-29) (Unattached) was second (16th overall) over the line in 20:44.
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) of Woking AC, was third (24th overall) over the line in 21:20 – has been first to finish on eight previous occasions.

Current standing in the women’s annual points competition:
Susanne BARNES (Woking AC) 1,562 pts.
Julia BONILLA (Unattached) 1,432 pts.
Debbie AITKEN (Unattached) 1,304 pts.

The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) was graded 78.59% for the time 21:20 (24th overall).
James FLEMING (JM14) was graded 76.18% for the time 19:02 (third overall).
Michelle OLDHAM (VW40-44) was graded 75.53% for the time 20:22 (11th overall).

This week there were 156 runners, of whom 23 were first timers and 39 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 21 different athletics clubs took part.

Guildford parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 2,002 different runners, including participants from 151 athletics clubs, have completed 7,381 runs covering a total distance of 36,905 km, and there have been 1,609 new personal bests.

The women’s course record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 18:46 on May 18, 2013 (event number 60).
The men’s course record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 15:30 on April 7, 2012 (event number 5).
The age grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41% run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).
