Guildford Parkrun Results: June 15, 2013

This week’s free, friendly, fun and healthy run in Stoke Park, Guildford, attracted a record of more than 200 participants of all ages.

Men’s placings:
An unknown runner was first.
Thomas GRIFFITHS (SM25-29) (Unattached) was second over the line in 17 minutes and 10 seconds.
Alex MCINTOSH (SM30-34) of Garden City Runners, was third over the line in 17:30 – and was first to finish once before.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Daniel Peter HEFFERNAN (Unattached) 1,272 pts.
Andrew FLANAGAN (Unattached) 1,010 pts.
David WOODCOCK (Unattached) 936 pts.

Women’s placings:
Katherine PHILP (SW30-34) of Garden City Runners, was first (11th overall) over the line in 19:55 – fifth time in five appearances.

Cecilia SIRUFFO (SW30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was second (19th overall) over the line in 21:07.
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) of Woking AC, was third (23rd overall) over the line in 21:34 – and has been first to finish on eight previous occassions.

Current standing in the women’s annual points competition:
Susanne BARNES (Woking AC) 1,197 pts.
Julia BONILLA (Unattached) 1,082 pts.
Debbie AITKEN (Unattached) 1,046 pts.

The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Eddy Vincent KNOX (VM50-54) was graded 77.90 % for the time 18:56 (fifth overall).
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) was graded 77.74 % for the time 21:34 (23rd overall).
Thomas GRIFFITHS (SM25-29) was graded 75.24 % for the time 17:10 (second overall).

This week there were 206 runners, of whom 49 were first timers and 44 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 16 different athletics clubs took part.

Guildford parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 1,886 different runners, including participants from 146 athletics clubs, have completed 6,705 runs covering a total distance of 33,525 km, and there have been 1,469 new personal bests.

The women’s course record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 18:46 on May 18, 2013 (event number 60).
The men’s course record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 15:30 on April 7, 2012 (event number 5).
The age grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41 % run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).

Due to the music festival taking place at Stoke Park next month, there will no parkruns on Saturday, July 13, when he festival is taking place, and also the week before, Saturday, July 6, when setting up for it will be in progress.
