Guildford Parkrun Results: June 8, 2013

Held in glorious condition at Stoke, Park, the Guildford parkrun results for Saturday, June 8, were as follows.

Men’s placings:
Jason HARRIS (VM40-44) of Woking AC, was first over the line in 18 minutes and three seconds – first time in four appearances.
James TIDD (JM15-19) of Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow AC, was second over the line in 18:10.
Nathan MARTIN (SM25-29) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was third over the line in 18:35 – Has been first to finish on two previous occassions.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Daniel Peter HEFFERNAN (Unattached) 1,177 pts.
Andrew FLANAGAN (Unattached) 1010 pts.
Justin SHOWELL (Haslemere Border AC) 866 pts.

Women’s placings:
Katherine PHILP (SW30-34) of Garden City Runners, was first (sixth overall) over the line in 19:17 – fourth time in four appearances.
Cecilia SIRUFFO (SW30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was second (20th overall) over the line in 21:14.
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) of Woking AC, was third (26th overall) over the line in 21:41 – Has been first to finish on eight previous occassions.

Current standing in the women’s annual points competition:
Susanne BARNES (Woking AC) 1,106 pts.
Julia BONILLA (Unattached) 1,002 pts.
Debbie AITKEN (Unattached) 946 pts.

The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) was graded 77.33 % for the time 21:41 (26th overall).
Katherine PHILP (SW30-34) was graded 77.27 % for the time 19:17 (sixth overall).
Jason HARRIS (VM40-44) was graded 76.18 % for the time 18:03 (first overall).

This week there were 178 runners, of whom 32 were first timers and 56 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 18 different athletics clubs took part.

Guildford parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 1,837 different runners, including participants from 145 athletics clubs, have completed 6,499 runs covering a total distance of 32,495 km, and there have been 1,425 new personal bests.

The women’s course record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 18:46 on May 18, 2013 (event number 60).
The men’s course record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 15:30 on April 7, 2012 (event number 5).
The age grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41 % run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).

Due to the music festival taking place at Stoke Park next month, there will no parkruns on Saturday, July 13, when he festival is taking place, and also the week before, Saturday, July 6, when setting up for it will be in progress.
