It was Philippa Kiely’s 50th Parkrun, so there were the usual celebrations in Costa afterwards with cakes, balloons and badges!

Some of the runners taking part in Saturday’s Guildford Parkrun.

Men’s placings:
Tommy ASHBY (SM25-29) (unattached) was first over the line in 17:26 – first appearance.
Mark HADLEY (SM35-39) of Woking AC, was second over the line in 18:19.
Lewis PEACOCK (SM20-24) (unattached) was third over the line in 18:22.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Daniel Peter HEFFERNAN (unattached) 1,941 pts.
Andrew FLANAGAN (unattached) 1,925 pts.
David WOODCOCK (unattached) 1,736 pts.

Women’s placings:
Cecilia SIRUFFO (SW30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was first (12th overall) over the line in 20:29 – fourth time in 17 appearances.
Michelle OLDHAM (VW40-44) of Woking AC, was second (24th overall) over the line in 21:58 – has been first to finish on three previous occasions.
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) of Woking AC, was third (30th overall) over the line in 22:25 – has been first to finish on eight previous occasions.

Current standing in the women’s annual points competition:
Susanne BARNES (Woking AC) 2,292 pts.
Julia BONILLA (Unattached) 2,002 pts.
Susanna HARRISON (Woking AC) 1,762 pts.

The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Anthony ALDRED (VM65-69) was graded 75.60% for the time 22:24 (29th overall).
Susanna HARRISON (VW50-54) was graded 74.80% for the time 22:25 (30th overall).
Tommy ASHBY (SM25-29) was graded 74.00% for the time 17:26 (first overall).

This week there were 197 runners, of whom 26 were first timers and 56 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 16 different athletics clubs took part.

Guildford parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 2,217 different runners, including participants from 156 athletics clubs, have completed 8,729 runs covering a total distance of 43,645 km, and there have been 1,951 new personal bests.
The women’s course record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 18:46 on May 18, 2013 (event number 60).
The men’s course record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 15:30 on April 7, 2012 (event number 5).
The age grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41% run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).
