There were 196 runners, of whom 20 were first timers and 41 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 19 different athletics clubs took part.
Men’s placings:
Daniel WALLIS (JM15-19) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was first over the line in 17:53 – 10th time in 18 appearances.
Ben EVANS (SM30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was second over the line in 18:12 – has been first to finish on seven previous occasions.
Daniel FARLEY (JM15-19) of Woking AC, was third over the line in 19:00.
Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Daniel Peter HEFFERNAN (unattached) 2,991 pts.
David WOODCOCK (unattached) 2,523 pts.
Andrew FLANAGAN (unattached) 2,398 pts.
Women’s placings:
Michelle OLDHAM (VW40-44) of Woking AC, was first (11th overall) over the line in 20:28 – fourth time in 20 appearances.
Hannah MORRIS (JW14) of Dorking & Mole Valley AC, was second (18th overall) over the line in 21:12 – was first to finish once before.
Sophie LOVELL (SW25-29) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was third (23rd overall) over the line in 21:19 – has been first to finish on five previous occasions.
Current standing in the women’s annual points competition:
Susanne BARNES (Woking AC) 3,261 pts.
Julia BONILLA (unattached) 2,735 pts.
Cecilia SIRUFFO (Guildford & Godalming AC) 2,565 pts.
The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Susan WIGHTMAN (VW50-54) was graded 80.20% for the time 21:43 (30th overall).
Keith SPACIE (VM75-79) was graded 79.02% for the time 25:25 (93rd overall).
Daniel WALLIS (JM15-19) was graded 75.49% for the time 17:53 (first overall).
Guildford Parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 2,576 different runners, including participants from 171 athletics clubs, have completed 11,142 runs covering a total distance of 55,710 km, and there have been 2,461 new personal bests.
The women’s record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 00:18:46 on May 18, 2013, (event number 60).
The men’s record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 00:15:30 on April 7, 2012, (event number 5).
The age grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41% run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).
This coming Saturday’s run (December 21) will be a fundraiser for Disability Challengers. Run in fancy dress if you like, while some regulars are baking mince pies, which runners and spectators can enjoy in return for a donation to Stoke Park-based Disability Challengers, that does such good work with disabled children and young adults.
