Guildford Parkrun Saturday March 8

Marking its second anniversary, there were 202 runners at Saturday’s Guildford Parkrun in Stoke Park, of whom 29 were first timers and 33 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 19 different athletics clubs took part.

Men’s placings:
Matthew TOLEFREE (JM15-17) of Woking AC, was first over the line in 18:20 – first time in five appearances.
Justin MITCHELL (VM40-44) of Woking AC, was second over the line in 18:57 – has been first to finish on six previous occasions.
Adam TOLEFREE (JM15-17) of Woking AC, was third over the line in 19:00.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Martyn THOMAS (unattached) 100 pts.
David MALE (Waverley Harriers) 100 pts.
Matthew TOLEFREE (Woking AC) 100 pts.

Women’s placings:
Clare SYLVESTER (VW50-54) of Thames Hare & Hounds, was first (20th overall) over the line in 22:26 – first time in four appearances.
Hannah MORRIS (JW15-17) of Dorking & Mole Valley AC, was second (28th overall) over the line in 23:13 – was first to finish once before.
Jaydee PETERS (SW35-39) of Woking AC, was third (32nd overall) over the line in 23:37.

Nicky HACK (Unattached) 100 pts.
Jane ROSTANT (Unattached) 100 pts.

The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Richard HOSKINS (VM50-54) was graded 77.36% for the time 19:04 (4th overall).
Keith SPACIE (VM75-79) was graded 76.65% for the time 26:12 (68th overall).
Matthew TOLEFREE (JM15-17) was graded 75.91% for the time 18:20 (first overall).

Guildford Parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 2,858 different runners, including participants from 195 athletics clubs, have completed 13,099 runs covering a total distance of 65,495 km, and there have been 2,624 new personal bests.

The women’s record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 00:18:46 on May 18, 2013, (event number 60).
The men’s record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 00:15:30 on April 7, 2012, (event number 5).
The Age Grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41% run (22:25) on April 27, 2013, (event number 57).
