Guildford police are looking for Daryl Vase. He has removed his electronic tag which had allowed police to monitor his curfew.
The Neighbourhood Team in Guildford is appealing to the public for help in finding twenty-year old Vase who is wanted on warrant.
His last known address is Pond Meadow, Park Barn, Guildford and it is believed that he is still in the area.
Vase was found guilty in February this year of committing a burglary in Compton. He was given an eight month prison sentence suspended for 18 months.
As part of his conditions he was also given an electronic tag which monitored his curfew from 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs daily for six months. By removing his tag, Vase has failed to comply with this condition.
He failed to appear at South West Surrey Magistrates Court on 15 June 2012 and a warrant was therefore issued for his arrest.
PC Pete Groves said: “Vase knows he is wanted and has so far refused to give himself up. If anyone has any information as to his whereabouts they should call Surrey Police on 101. Equally if Daryl Vase is reading this he should do the right thing and hand himself in to his local police station.”
