There is never a good time for a bus break down but around 5pm on a Friday evening in one of the busiest parts of Guildford’s town-centre road network must be one of the worst.

Traffic feeding into the gyratory was affected and long tail-backs of vehicles, approaching Guildford on the A281 from Shalford, were observed.

The bus was still there at nearly 6pm.

Wasn’t affected by the above but by an overturned car blocking the A25 between Newlands Corner and the Silent Pool after 5pm.

The travel news seemed to report the vehicle there for a couple of hours. Decided to divert through Albury when I approached the queue coming from Gomshall.
