Surrey Police officers are appealing for help from the public to trace a man who is wanted after failing to appear at court earlier this week.
Leon Campbell, 23, from Ashford in Kent, was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment in August 2014 after pleading guilty to having an offensive weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon in Surrey and driving and vehicle offences in Kent.
An arrest warrant was issued for Campbell after he breached the strict conditions of his release licence and then failed to appear for a hearing at North Surrey Magistrates Court in Staines on Tuesday, July 14.
Despite various enquiries to try and trace Campbell officers have so far been unable to locate him and are asking for anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact them immediately.
Campbell has links to the Guildford area and has family in Kent and London. He is described as being white, 5ft 10ins tall, medium build and has brown hair.
Sergeant James Ansell said: “This man is well known in the Guildford area but also may be in Kent or London and I would urge anyone who has recently been in touch with or seen him to share this information with police.”
Surrey Police are asking anyone with any information about Campbell’s whereabouts to contact on 101 (or 999 in an emergency), quoting reference number 45150053999 or, if you prefer not to leave your name, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
