Surrey Police are looking for two vehicles in connection with a fatal hit and run collision that occurred in the early hours of Saturday (August 20).

Officers investigating the incident are appealing for the drivers of a large silver saloon, possibly an old style Mercedes and a small red hatchback car which was driving behind this vehicle to contact police.

The cars were seen travelling through Guildford’s gyratory system before driving along the Portsmouth Road (A3100) at around 2.55am on Saturday.

Investigating officer Sergeant JP Davis, said: “At this stage in the investigation we believe those travelling in the two vehicles are potential witnesses to this tragic incident and I would appeal for the drivers to make contact with officers even if they feel they have nothing to add to the investigation.”

It is thought by the police that it is unlikely that these vehicles suffered any damage.

A police statement said; “If you are the driver of either vehicle please contact Surrey Police as a matter of urgency quoting reference P16188470.

“Anyone who has their suspicions around something they know who could be involved in this incident or who was in this area and possibly saw the events surrounding the collision is also urged to contact Surrey Police without delay.”
