Home care specialist Helping Hands has launched a new branch in Guildford alongside its existing Godalming branch.

This is part of a larger new branch project which has been launched across the UK specialising in dementia.

As well as providing specialised care to those in need, particularly during the Covid-19 outbreak, the branch also brings with it many vacancies for those who are looking for a role in care in Guildford, Woking and the surrounding areas.

Octavia Allen, area care manager for the Guildford branch, said: “It’s always so exciting to be part of the branch launch project with Helping Hands, and opening Guildford has been no exception.

“We are on a rollercoaster journey of opening more branches across the UK, so this couldn’t be a better or more exciting time to join Helping Hands.

“The people within this business are engaging, inspirational and so supportive, and I know that our branch manager Abi Ayling delivers all of those qualities to her own customers.”

Abi said: “We are thrilled to be delivering care in Guildford and Woking. It’s important to me that people know that home care is a valid option for them when they are needing extra support due to an illness or old age.

“In my experience lots of people don’t know that home care is an option, and I want that to change. We are able to deliver entirely person-centred, tailored care; if that’s companionship and a cup of tea, or condition-specific care such as that for dementia or cancer.”

Abi has been working in care for nearly 10 years, and specialises in dementia and end of life care. She said: “It’s a pleasure to be able to give something back to my local community, especially when it is something as personal and important as great quality care.”

Since 1989, the family-run company has specialised in home care and is an industry leader in the care sector. The company has a network of more than 120 branches across England and Wales, providing visiting and live-in care.

Now in its 32nd year and employing more than 6,000 carers, the trusted home care provider has supported more than 40,000 families since its inception.

If you would like more information on arranging care for you or a loved one, or are interested in becoming a carer, visit the Helping Hands website or call Abi and her team on 01483 944 774.
