East Horsley’s Adrian Planer and Spotty, his Appaloosa, are pitting themselves against some of the world’s top stunt riders in an international horsemanship competition, and your vote can help them.
The contest’s aim is to showcase the partnership between horse and rider, and the first round is based on the number of votes for the video entries. The top three videos will be viewed by a judging panel of internationally acclaimed equine experts.
At present, the Russians and East Europeans are in the lead so this is a chance to put Surrey firmly on the horse-riding map.
But Adrian, who took up riding late in life, and Spotty, already a local celebrity, need to get 2,000 votes by Tuesday (November 17) to be in with a chance.
So far, the video has helped raise several hundred votes from their amazing neighbours but they need your help to get in front of the panel. Enjoy the video and judge for yourself.
You can cast your vote for Adrian and Spotty here.
