The internal investigation to be held into the conduct of two suspended managers at the Electric Theatre is expected to take ‘a number of weeks’.
A Guildford Borough spokesperson said: “Our Internal Audit team anticipate that the investigation will take a number of weeks. We cannot predict the outcome of this or any disciplinary actions that might follow if they are necessary.”
It was reported that two managers, the general manager and the box office manager, were escorted from the premises and suspended on 18th October, following a complaint from a member of staff.
The council have already said that the theatre will continue to operate normally under interim management provided by HQ Theatres, who also manage G Live.
