Eleven teams from Surrey entered battle by Zoom in the County Cub Quiz to find which pack had the best brains.
Chief Commissioner for England Tim Kidd attended the quiz, talking to the cubs and leaders.
The teams were from Guildford West. Dorking, East Surrey, Esher, Farnham, Guildford East, Leatherhead, Reigate, Runnymede, Spelthorne and Woking.
The seven question rounds covered flags, history, incredible creatures, human body, music, science and technology and general knowledge.
Would you know the only national flag to feature a tree in its design? Or would you know what insect Aztecs considered a bad omen? Or would you know which ocean fish is the most poisonous?
The cubs certainly did, so credit their teachers for providing the online teaching, imparting the #skillsforlife that Scouting thrives on.
The results were:
1st Runnymede District
2nd Dorking District
3rd Spelthorne District
CC Kidd said “This type of event makes the cubs see the world is bigger than their own pack, especially at this time. That the cubs get this opportunity is important and I thank the leaders. This was about having a go.”
The pack that represented Guildford West was St Nicolas 9th and 1st Merrow represented Guildford East.
