Teams were  divided into two leagues of six teams each, and played four ends against each other in a round robin tournament, each team playing five games.

Shirley West and Lynn Smith won league A, and after a count-back based on numbers of shots, Colin Summerhayes and Colin Downham won league B. In the final the ladies beat the men.

This was an improve, ment on last year’s performance when CGBC lost by eight shots. Jill Bird’s team of  Hilary Vogel and Larry Webster won by 20-12; Derek Redgwell’s team of Nick and Julie Hinde won by 17-16; Colin Summerhayes and his team of Jim Horwood and Ann Bailey were not so fortunate, going down by 9 to 18.
