I would like to thank David Rose for a great story about the Great Storm. All the way “Down Under” in 1987 I recall hearing and reading about it.
Coincidentally, on October 16 2017 south western Australia (including capital city Perth) experienced unusually high winds, an electrical storm and rain causing 130 year old trees to fall, creating widespread havoc. It’s supposed to be mid-spring here! Bad but not as bad as your Great Storm.
Your recent red skies caused by high altitude distant dust was yet another memorable event.
