A solar farm in Shropshire Photo Geograph

From Anthony Mallard

In response to: We Have Made the Case for Our Solar Farm Comprehensively

I was interested to learn from the Surrey University response to those who oppose the erection of a  solar-farm that, “Our energy costs soared as a result of the energy crisis, and second there is insufficient supply in the local grid.”

Putting to one-side the upturn in electricity cost to which the spokesperson for the university refers and focusing on the supply infrastructure,  how then will the electricity grid cope with a development of 1,800+ homes on the former Gosden Hill Farm site?

Guildford planners please note.
