Pauline Searle when serving as Deputy Mayor of Guildford

In response to: Some Thank Yous As I Retire After 24 Years

I would like to point out that being a councillor involves more than just attending planning meetings.

As Pauline Searle is standing down as a local councillor her community involvement should be fully recognised. For example, she has been instrumental with the Friends of Chitty’s Common conservation group by supplying coffee and biscuits, storing tools and allowing her front garden to be used as a meeting place on a monthly basis.

She also works with the volunteers and liaises with Surrey Wildlife Trust and Surrey County Council to discuss the work that needs to be done in the future.

For many years Pauline has been an active member of the Rydes Hill Crescent Residents Association and has made many valuable contributions.

Pauline plays an important role within the community and she is always willing to communicate and listen to people and their concerns about local issues. For many years Pauline has been a hard-working, diligent and highly valued councillor representing the local area.
