The Junction 10 project, approved by the then Transport Secretary after years of hesitation and two postponements, is a completely unnecessary waste of money, whose effect will simply be to suck more traffic onto local roads.

£317 million is a dishonest estimate of the direct financial cost: half a billion would be a better guess for works whose completion has now been put back from Summer 2025 to some unspecified time in 2026.

How many hospitals would half a billion have built?

The project has caused more deforestation and environmental vandalism than any single project for generations, yet none of the councils involved – Surrey, Guildford and Elmbridge – fought against it.

I hope the RHS take National Highways to the cleaners.
