In response to: Borough Council Election Still Up for Grabs – Poll Says Nearly Half of Voters Are Undecided
Given how close we are now to the local elections, I find it quite astonishing how few of the candidates have made contact to tell me what they plan to do and why I should vote for them.
So far, I have only had leaflets from the Conservatives and R4GV, the latter a generic cross-borough flyer with names the only local-specific information.
As far as I am aware, nobody has been trudging round doorsteps in my area [Normandy] to talk to us face-to-face. If others have a similar experience (or lack thereof), it is hardly surprising that so many voters are undecided.
Editor’s comment: There are verbal reports from the different parties of extensive canvassing in some areas. You might find of help the extensive GBC election coverage in The Dragon including the candidate summaries, interviews and opinion pieces.

I’m in Westborough and I’ve had nothing, not a single leaflet, not a single canvasser. No wonder there is voter apathy for local elections.
