Three people have been arrested after a man was found with serious facial injuries in a multi-storey car park stairwell in Guildford on Saturday (August 3).
A 22-year-old woman from Guildford and a 33-year-old man and a 36-year-old man of no fixed address, were arrested yesterday (4 August), in connection with the incident, which took place in the York Road car park, Guildford between 9pm on Friday, 2 August and 5am on Saturday, 3 August.
All three have been released on bail, pending further enquiries, to return to Guildford police station on September 6.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was found by a security guard on level 5 of the car park on York Road around 5.20am on Saturday, 3 August.
He was treated by ambulance crews at the scene and was taken to hospital for treatment to a possible fractured eye socket and broken jaw.
Detectives previously appealed for information on a black rucksack which the man was missing but this has since been located at a property in Guildford.
Detective Inspector Martin Stables, said: “We are currently working with the victim to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding the incident and how he sustained his injuries.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the York Road area between 9pm (Friday, August 2) and the time the man was found and who saw anything suspicious which may assist with the investigation to contact us with information.”
